Straight, No Chaser

This series is a nod to one of the most famous jazz albums in history by legend Thelonious Monk as well as an apt description of Paul’s approach to the newly formed multi-ethnic church in Rome and the challenges they were facing.

In this series, we explore the first five chapters of Romans and unpack Paul’s vision for the Gospel and its implications for our multi-ethnic world. Romans is famous for its depth and breadth, but in our day and age, it also reads like a punch to the mouth.

Paul wants us to understand why the gospel is the only helpful foundation upon which we can build the church and society, and he pulls no punches doing so.
