Gospel of John: Witness To The Light
John 1:8, “He was not the light, but came to bear witness about the light.”
Writing decades after the death of Jesus and years after the other gospel writers finished their work, John gives us his very different gospel. The Gospel of John reads like one-part memoir, one-part biography, and one-part theological treatise.
The Gospel of John is the testimony of a man who was probably Jesus’ closest friend and confidant. He spent years walking, talking, and watching the Son of God be the Light of the World.
This series will explore John’s unique perspective on the life and message of Jesus. John isn’t trying to simply tell us about Jesus, he’s trying to convince us that Jesus is God and therefore worthy of our faith and worship.
